Hello and welcome to the Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Blog Hop!

We have so many fantastic sponsors that have shown their support for Autism Awareness and you can see the complete list here:

http://lk2thestarz.blogspot.com/…/the-light-it-up-blue-for-….

If you would like a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous companies leave a comment on this blog, and any of the other blogs participating in today's hop! Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday April 6.

I was very happy to be asked to participate in this Hop....I've had many friends and some family touched by Autism and have been intrigued and very happy to see some wonderful progress made in both diagnosing earlier and helping with the challenges those diagnosed face.  Most recently our cousin's little boy was diagnosed and able to start a program designed to actually help re-train the brain.....so very exciting to see the progress!!

Now here is the card I created for today's hop!

I pulled out a retired Gina K. Designs stamp set that actually was designed to promote Autism awareness a few years ago.  Since blue is the color that identifies Autism awareness, I went with a monochromatic card.  The cardstock is Gina K Powder Blue and I used Memento Sky Blue Ink.  I had the little puzzle piece charm that I bought long ago to go with this stamp set but had never actually made a card with it.  You gotta love having a crafter's stash of goodies, right?  LOL

You'll want to grab a lovely cuppa of your favorite beverage and check out the main link I posted at the beginning and hop along to see all the amazing creations designed just for this special hop today!!!  And enjoy!!

Today's hop features the sweet set Delicate Damask by Beth...

Actually this is a go-to color combination for me when I make masculine cards....which isn't all that often!  LOL  But I really like the Dark Chocolate and Fresh Asparagus.....but not as food!  EWWW!  lol  Ok....done with the cheezy jokes!  Some Fresh Asparagus ribbon is the only embellishment...and yep, I will put ribbon on a masculine card!

I used the swirly stamp to make some patterned paper to match this snowflake embossing folder.  I love blue and white winter cards, so I used Pure Luxury Ocean Mist Cardstock and Ink for this plus of course some pearls!

This one I showed at the release party.....Innocent Pink and Black Onyx is also a super fun color combination!  Embossing and rhinestones jazz it up along with layered dies.  So you see such variety with this stamp set!

Theresa's Elegant Florals 2 is incredible and so versatile...

I really love the more antiquey look of the brick embossing and the color combo here.  I used Pure Luxury Black Onyx, White and Faded Brick.  See?  Brick cardstock in a Brick embossing folder!!!!  Ha!!!  Am I the only one who is just that dorky and goofy??  lol

Ok....now y'all don't have to panic anymore......here's the PINKNESS!!!!  LOL  I love the sweet little tulip and some embossing and pearls dress it up.  There's my favorite color.....Pure Luxury Innocent Pink!!!

I showed this one at the Release Party.....I tried an interesting technique.  I used a round die cut to mask off a circle to keep it blank for the sentiment and then stamped the flower image all over the rest of it.  I used Pure Luxury Red Hot and Kraft and I'm not so sure I really like this card....but I enjoyed trying a new-to-me technique!!!
